Der Kreisvorstand hat am Donnerstag der Presse ihren Kandidaten für das Amt des Landrates, Ekkehard Domning , der Presse vor und eröffnete damit den Wahlkampf.
Rashmi Grashorn, die Sprecherin des Kreisverbandes, führte den Kandidaten mit einigen Details aus seinem Leben ein. Anschließend erläuterte Ekkehard Domning den Hintergrund des Slogans „zuhören – verstehen – verbinden“, sowohl im persönlichen als auch im politischen Sinne.
Die Presse, vertreten waren die Alfelder Zeitung , hildesheimer-allgemeine.de, leinetal24.de und der Kehrwieder, befragte den Kandidaten intensiv zu einem breiten Themenfeld, welches über die Ziele, den Inhalt der möglichen Amtsführung, aber auch konkrete Sachverhalte wie zur geplanten Verwendung des Desdemona-Geländes reichte.
Zugleich wurde die Internetseite (landratskandidatur.domning.eu)
aktiviert und die zugehörigen Social-Media-Profile angedockt.
