Wir kämpfen für grüne Landwirtschaft und gutes Essen
Wir wollen Klima-, Umwelt-, Tier- und Gewässerschutz und landwirtschaftliche Erzeugung miteinander versöhnen. Die Landwirtschaft fit für die Zukunft zu machen – das begreifen wir als Aufgabe für die nächsten Jahre.
Unser Ziel sind fruchtbare, kohlenstoffspeichernde Böden, sauberes Wasser und intakte Ökosysteme – und zugleich ein faires Auskommen von Landwirt*innen und eine gute und gesunde Ernährung für alle.
Das wollen wir mit den Bürger*innen und Bäuer*innen erreichen. Die Betriebe werden wir bei der notwendigen Transformation unterstützen.

Tierhaltung: grüner statt größer werden
„Grüner statt größer werden“ ist unser Leitmotiv für die Tierhaltung der Zukunft. Wir wollen allen Tieren ein würdiges Leben ermöglichen. Eine solche Haltung wollen wir gezielt fördern und die gesetzlichen Regeln verbessern. Die Tiere brauchen mehr Platz, Auslauf, Licht und Beschäftigung statt Amputationen und Qualzucht.
Unser Programm in der Regierungsverantwortung:
Wir haben eine verbindliche Tierhaltungskennzeichnung eingeführt, die auch Transport und Schlachtung umfasst.
Wir unterstützen die Bäuer*innen dabei, die landwirtschaftliche Tierhaltung in Deutschland artgerecht umzubauen.
Wir fördern künftig nur noch besonders tiergerechte Ställe.
Wir verbessern das Tierschutzgesetz und schließen rechtliche Lücken.
Wir verbessern den Brandschutz in den Ställen.

Grüne Landwirtschaft mit der Natur
Eine naturverträgliche Landwirtschaft kommt ohne all das aus, was die Klimabilanz nach oben treibt. Sie schafft es ohne Überdüngung, den Großeinsatz von Pestiziden oder massenhaften Import von Futtermitteln.
Unser Programm in der Regierungsverantwortung:
Wir bringen die Tierbestände in Einklang mit den Zielen des Klima- und Umweltschutzes.
Wir legen ein Konzept vor, wie die EU-Subventionen, die aktuell den reinen Besitz von Fläche belohnen, künftig Klima- und Umweltleistungen honorieren.
Wir wollen 30 Prozent Ökolandbau bis zum Jahr 2030 erreichen. Hierfür erhöhen wir die Bundesmittel für das Bundesprogramm Ökolandbau und die Agrarforschungsgelder für den Ökolandbau.
Wir verstärken Forschung und Förderung zu klimarobustem Pflanzenbau.
Für eine pestizidarme Landwirtschaft
Über 100.000 Tonnen Pestizide werden jährlich in Deutschland verkauft. Das geht mit Gesundheitsgefahren für Menschen und einem massiven Verlust der Artenvielfalt einher. Heute leben 50 Prozent weniger Vögel als noch vor 30 Jahren auf den landwirtschaftlichen Flächen Deutschlands. Pestizide gelten auch als wesentliche Ursache für das Sterben von Bestäubern wie Bienen, Hummeln und Schmetterlingen. Höchste Zeit für eine Landwirtschaft, die den Einsatz von Pestiziden zur Ausnahme macht.
Unser Programm in der Regierungsverantwortung:
Wir nehmen Glyphosat bis Ende 2023 vom Markt.
Wir beschränken den Einsatz von Pestiziden in Trinkwasserschutzgebieten.
Wir stärken umweltfreundliche Alternativen zu chemisch-synthetischen Pestiziden und entwickeln den Nationalen Aktionsplan Pflanzenschutz weiter.
Wir verbieten den Export gesundheitsschädlicher Pestizide in Drittländer.
Wir erfassen den Pestizideinsatz auf den Betrieben in einer zentralen Datenbank.
Wir setzen uns für eine lückenlose und transparente wissenschaftliche Überprüfung von Pestiziden im Rahmen der Zulassungsverfahren ein.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said „You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.“ She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
