Agenda 2030 vor Ort Landkreis Hildesheim
Im Jahr 2015 haben die Vereinten Nationen auf ihrem Gipfel der Staats- und Regierungschefs die „2030-Agenda für Nachhaltige Entwicklung“ beschlossen. Diese gilt als Wegweiser für mehr Nachhaltigkeit und für ein neues globales Wohlstandsverständnis. Alle 193 Länder der Welt haben die Agenda unterzeichnet und sich damit zur Umsetzung verpflichtet. Deutsch-land nimmt mit der Unterzeichnung als Industriestaat eine wichtige Stellung ein.
Kernstück der Agenda 2030 sind die 17 Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung (Sustainable Development Goals oder kurz SDGs). Die 169 Unterziele dienen als Richtmaß des zukünftigen Handelns.
Mit den Nachhaltigkeitszielen werden alle Poli-tikbereiche berührt, von der Wirtschafts-, Sozial-, Umwelt-, Klima-, und Finanzpolitik, über die Agrar- und Verbraucherpolitik bis hin zu Bereichen wie Verkehr, Bildung und Gesundheit. Es wird deutlich, dass die Nachhaltige Entwicklung nicht einfach „von oben“ durch die Vereinten Nationen verordnet werden kann.
Der Landkreis Hildesheim wird künftige Maßnahmen und Planungen mit den SDGs verknüpfen und dementsprechend ausgestalten. Gemeinsam mit der Kommunalpolitik möchten wir zusammen diesen Weg für mehr Nachhaltigkeit gehen und die Region zukunftsfähig gestalten. Der erstmalig vorgelegte Nachhaltigkeitsbericht soll die Bestandsaufnahme bereits entwickelter landkreiseigener Konzepte zusammenfassen und die Verknüpfung mit den SDGs darstellen. Dieser Bericht soll gleichzeitig aber auch als Handlungsempfehlung für eine nachhalti-gere Zukunftsgestaltung dienen. Wir als Landkreis Hildesheim sollten konsequent vorangehen und diese gesellschaftlichen und politischen Aufgaben als Chance mit vielen Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten ansehen. Gleichzeitig besteht eine Verantwortlichkeit gegenüber den Bürgerinnen und Bürgern und deren nachfolgenden Generationen, dass sie auch in Zukunft gut im Landkreis Hildesheim leben können.
